Past Perfect

Ø  What The Meaning

        Past Perfect tense is often used in english when we are relating to events     which happened in the past. It helps to show which event happened first.

Ø     What Grammar

    v    Active   : S + had + V3 + O / S + had + been + O

    v    Passive  : S + had + been + V3 + by + O

Ø  How To Use

        The past perfect tense is used to show you which of  two events happened first.

Ø  Example :

           q   Singular

              1. Active  : Roni had been read  two hundred  books

                 Passive : Two hundred books had  been  read  by Roni

             2. Active  :  Tina had listened some music

                 Passive : Some music had  been  listened by Tina

  q  Plural

            1. Active  : Jamil and Jamilah had met Roni

                Passive : Roni had been met by Jamil and Jamilah

            2. Active  :  Odi and Adi had borrowed a car

                Passive : A car had been borrowed by Odi and Adi
